Vintage Kitchen Table

Retro Kitchen We've made shopping for your kitchen easy by grouping the best of our kitchen and tableware items in one place. Here you'll find classic diner dispensers, wall clocks, glass and tin canisters, and vintage inspired tin signs and removable wall decals. We also have wall phones, made to look like 50s pay phones, as well as flour sack dishtowels and cutting boards that are perfect for protecting the countertop. The well-dressed vintage kitchen begins with a cool 1950s style wall clock. It sets the mood for the room, and serves as a great accent color. Our diner style dispensers and coffee mugs capture a vintage feel and they're plenty durable. For everyday dinner service, we offer melamine sets in truly retro styles and patterns. Add vintage style glassware, and your dining table is complete. Dressing kitchen walls is a snap with tin signs with food themes and old-time advertising. Wall decals add color and flair, and they're easy to remove when the mood strikes. Table linens help create a charming everyday or holiday look. Try a pairing a vintage design tablecloth with matching napkins, all in machine washable cotton. These are just some of the ways you can have fun while personalizing your kitchen with retro accents!

Have a white enamel table with a red border and white wooden legs that my parents purchased in the mid 1950’s. It has an extension on either side to expand it to 60″ X 46″. It needs a little repair for the extensions to be solid. This jewel survived being stored for five years, shipped 150 miles, used as a kitchen table in an old house, then moved to a house my father built in the 70’s. Now I am remodeling my kitchen and plan to use it with a couple of benches as a breakfast table in the corner of the kitchen. I have lots of plans for this kitchen, including using my grandmothers wood cook stove for an island, but will have to wait for us to replace one side of the roof. I can’t wait to get started on the kitchen, but need suggestions on “painted rug” design.

Last, it would have been unfair to exclude this cute little enameled table — complete with a storage drawer — from our list. It is more vintage than retro, but fits right in with the light up juke box in this readers retro rec room. Pam says that this is her Mom’s dream kitchen table.

Remember Prince’s “Little Red Corvette”? Well, get that tune in your head and instead, let’s sing “Little Red Dinette”. Readers recently uploaded 217 vintage dinette sets  — and what become very clear, very fast, was the amazing diversity of kitchen dinette designs and colors there were back in the day. In this first followup story, we illustrate this idea with red, red and more red dinette sets — it’s kind of epic, actually — 23 red dinette, in all, and there were even more in the uploader. Continue on, and join us in taking a look at the diversity of these styles — inlaid laminate table tops, solids, and the earlier-model porcelainenamel metal tops…. dinette chairs… and cool upholstery, too. What inventiveness! What charm! What cheer!

Love all of these! I have a similar set as Jamie’s, only in light grey (the chairs are identical but the table is a little different style). I didn’t get a chance to photograph it and upload it, as it’s in my basement now and has “stuff” on top of it. It was a “reproduction” that I purchased at Sears back in 1993 for my last house’s 1949 kitchen (similar to the kitchen featured with the rounded table). So, my reproduction is 20 years old already! Maybe I’ll try to clean it off and photograph it.

Dining Table & Chair Sets Sometimes you just want to take the guesswork out of design. While we don’t recommend springing for that 14-piece matching plaid bedroom suite, we do love a vintage dining set. As easy to throw together as takeout and fine china, used dining sets come in every style—from warm-wooded, Mid-Century-inspired dinettes designed by greats like Paul McCobb to futuristic, mod pod sets like those of Eero Saarinen. Vintage Kitchen does not disappoint. We appreciated that the Restaurant Week menu did not require numerous items at additional charge. A few of the other restaurants do this during Restaurant Week, and we do not patronize them, because they fail to adhere to the spirit of the occasion. The food was outstanding particularly the pumpkin soup, beef and pork entrees. Only the pineapple “torte” tasted OK but was not attractively presented. Our server was in training and trying very hard.

Our evening at vintage kitchen was absolutely fabulous. Our waitress was incredibly knowledgeable about the food and wine menus, being able to discuss the methodology differences between Oregon pinot noirs and those of the French and the impacts to the wine, as well as the preparation methods for the entrees in a similar level of useful detail. For that, the food and wine were amazing. The restaurant is small and tastefully modern, but deco inspired. The location on the waterfront makes this a great choice for a date or a special occasion.

Hi Pam- I have the tulip table with the darker leaf down the middle. It is actually the original leaf, but the guy I bought it from, who apparently bought it from the original owners, said that the leaf had ALWAYS been stored in a closet and NEVER used. The table had been in front of a sunny window and over time it just faded I guess!

Fabulous dinettes!! I’ve got a gorgeous red cracked ice table (extra leaf included, but no chairs) sitting in our basement that I scooped up for 10 bucks. Our breakfast nook is way too small to accommodate a full size dinette and I have NO clue what I’m going to do with it, but I couldn’t let such a deal go by the wayside. There is also a great grey cracked ice table down there, but we probably shouldn’t go there, lest I start to sound like a hoarder.

“Come quickly, I am tasting the stars!” These were the words that Benedictine monk Pierre Pérignon exclaimed as he first savored the style of wine that we now know simply as Champagne. He is credited with developing the method for producing Champagne around the year 1700. Now, Dom Pérignon is only produced during the best vintage years, which has made the name synonymous with excellence and propelled this wine to stardom as France’s most revered export and indeed one of the world’s most widely recognized and sought-after luxury items. 98 points Robert Parker

Quality is ever present in a Salon Champagne, arguably the best in the world. The aristocratic House of Salon created the first Blanc de Blancs Champagne, a style to which they have stayed true, producing only single vintage, single varietal cuvées, having crafted only 30 vintages in the past 75 years. Complex yet focused, pure and ethereal, scents like honeysuckle and jasmine tickle the nose while hints of lemon candy and exotic pineapple dance around the palette with glimpses of coffee and grilled hazelnuts and a warm mineral finish. This Champagne exists exclusively for the most discriminating connoisseurs who crave only the best of the best and settle for nothing less. 97 points Wine Enthusiast
