However, consumer electronics (headphones, Kindle e-readers as hardware, accessories), small appliances, or clothing are not covered. Amazon applies an automatic filter at the time of payment: if your cart contains a non-cultural item, the cultural gift balance will not be offered as a payment method for that item.
This restriction surprises many users who expect a general purchasing voucher. We recommend creating a cart consisting solely of cultural items to avoid issues at checkout.
